New Delhi, April 10: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan said the creamy layer should not be kept out of the purview of the OBC quota for admission to higher education.

"The creamy layer should not be excluded," he said after the Supreme Court upheld the 27 per cent reservation for OBC students in centrally-funded higher education institutions like IIMs and IITs.

Paswan, however, said his party would not like to comment on the Supreme Court verdict. "We will look into the matter when it comes up before the Cabinet," he said.
