Pay taxes in time for better infrastructure, says Dosanjh

Hoshiarpur, January 6 Development of a country depends on the timely payment of taxes by its citizens. This was stated by former premier of British Columbia Ujjal Dosanjh.

Dosanjh, who was here with his wife Raminder to attend a wedding of their relative, said the people of Canada were ahead of other countries in paying taxes and that precisely was the reason why Canadians

were getting better healthcare and education facilities. He said the number of educational institutions was increasing in India, but the quality of education was not improving. Condemning the attacks being made on Indians in Europe, he said the Indian government should raise this issue on the International platforms.

Punjabis have contributed a lot for the development of Canada, he said, adding that if they get better facilities, they would certainly come to Punjab and invests here.

He advised the youngsters to come to Canada with proper documents and also asked the parents to properly verify the antecedents while looking for an NRI match.
