Placement drives gather steam in colleges across city

Chandigarh, January 16 Various companies are carrying out recruitment drives at various educational institutes in the city. Nearly 200 students appeared for the written test and group discussion for positions at ICICI Prudential. The tests were held at Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26 on Tuesday and Wednesday. 31 students were short-listed by the company for the final interview. Meanwhile, Angelique International Ltd, an MNC conducted a recruitment drive for the students of the current batch pursuing degrees in B Tech (ME and ELE) at Chandigarh Engineering College, Landran. Eight students were selected during the drive. Nearly 40 students participated in the interviews. GGSCMT, Kharar plans to host nearly three joint campus placement drives in January and February. Some companies have already sent teams to inspect infrastructure facilities in the college.
