The caller who spoke a few lines in Marathi on November 24 evening cut the line after giving the threat, Rajendra Sonavane, Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP), said.
The call was later traced to a Public booth in Sahkar Nagar area of the city, he added.
Asked whether it was being seen as a 'hoax', Sonavane said police were taking all such threats seriously in the present scenario and the Mumbai ATS had been informed duly about the threat call.
However, the police control room, when contacted on Tuesday night, had denied receiving any such threat to Karkare.

It is indeed very sad to see the state of affairs in India in general, esp. mumbai. But, people do you really think that ATS is going to go after these real terrorists? I am sure that like the other bombing incidents, this will also die down in a few days. ATS is more worried about why hindus were involved in malegoan blasts because 6 muslims were killed. ATS, will resume its narco analysis of all the hindu ashram leaders and in general anyone who goes to temples. So, even when the islamic groups take responsibility for these attacks they will not go after them. Even if they did apprehend terrorists they will never subject them to narco analysis or show them obscene videos or threaten them to hang them upside down!! I have my deep condolences to the ATS Chief Hemant Karkare. I do have a suggestion, instead of making cops fight terrorists. we should let the politicians like laloo, mulayam and Sonia battle these terrorists, after all who else would know about these terrorists better!!

Air India ( An Indian Government undertaking)which has a monopoly to arrange transportation for the Haj Pilgrims is making huge profits and part of the profits is returned to the pilgrims, and for political reasons this dividend is termed subsidy. I refer to one instance when Air India lost 50 crores last year when the UP Haj Committee decided to change loyalties from Air India to Saudi Airlines for sending 30 000 pilgrims. Calculate the per capita loss per passenger, it comes to INR 16,666.This is what Indian Govt calls subsidy. It is making, huge profits by one way and returning part of the profit in a more attractively palatable way to maintain the vote bank. NOW FOR THE SAKE OF ARGUMENT, LET US ASSUME SUBSIDY. Every Indian consumer irrespective of religion makes direct and mostly indirect taxes to the Indian Exchequer. Out of this public fund, the Indian Govt dishes out subsidy to all its citizens. Indian Muslims are part and parcel of the Indian Political Entity, so Indian Muslims get back their share of the contribution from the Exchequer like any other citizen of the country once in their life time.

The very fact that ATS is coming out with every bulletin , confirms the design behind the handling of case. None of teh agencies incl ATS has been on such an overdrive in csaes which are more serious and have had very high no. of casualties. Also ATs or any other agenciy is not able to get much ahead in other cases because Real Terrorists are involved in those cases and they are 100 steps ahead of the agencies like ATS/CBI. These agencies can only show their prowess against sift targets . Obviously the group being targetted are not terrorists ,if ATs daily briefings are to TRUE.
The very fact that ATS is able to cull out so much information and conduct all kinds of tests and raids show that the persons caught can not be terrorists otherwise they would not be doing such a kutcha job. Sir, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) Chief Hemant Karkare deserves the appreciation of nearly every citizen of India. He and his department has served India well by catching all kinds of terrorists which does not mean well for India. The aim and object of every terrorist is to destroy India, but officers like Karkare are true desh bhakts. In the name of God terrorists are killing innocent people some of these belongs to Al-Qaida, Mujahideen, RSS,VHP,Bajrang dal etc. Fighting these kinds of terrorists or fanatics is a sacred cause.

ATS exposed themselves to media on their own. They are afraid about the Narco test which is being heard to be conduducted on ATS officers. If this takes momentum then ATS will get in to deep truobles and as well as they will get a big resistance and pressure from public and army if the narco test results came out that ATS has acted on some bodies wrested interest. May be to avoid or to divert the attention of public and nation this may be another tactics they are putting forward. When Army man is involved until the allegations prooved they should have kept in secret to complete the investigation and submit the investigation report to court where final verdict will be delivered by Hon'ble judge which is as per constituion. Every individual also have a threat from others. Just blow up from ATS. Inorder to suppress Sadhvi and Purohit allegiance against them..ATS will do all sorts of activities.. You know FBI always does something and try to figure out the person who did it.. but they would catch some person(for eg.Sadam Hussain, 9/11 incident) who they feels as a hurdle in proceeding any acitivity in that particular country. Security and investigating agencies must behave and reinstate the trust in the general public that they are impartial and strict in their job without any bias against any political and or religious parties. Then the question of threat from any quarter does not arise. They should win the peoples' confidence, and therefore, they get the peoples' support instead of threat.
Atleast and at last there is someone who is questioning the handling of intelligence and security agencies. But where were you when the same agencies have falsely been implicating muslim youths. If we are serious then first of all we all should demand to the Government that the worship places and religious symbols be removed from office premises, ban all kind of religious activities in offices, officers and employees should not be allowed to participate in any religious activity that has any element of hatred, violence and communalism and should have a fair representation of minorities in types of jobs including intelligence and security agencies. Demand be made to hang those as well who are responsible for communal riots and have been terrorising the minority communities by their violent acts.
