Kolkata, February 23 A day after a student of Entally Hindu Balika Vidyalaya alleged of being abducted on her way to Madhyamik examination centre, police today said that she could be lying as every time she gave a different version of what had happened.

“I don’t think she is telling the truth. She has come up with different versions of what happened,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police, Eastern Suburban Division (ESD), Partho Sarathi Ghosh.

Meanwhile, Jyoti Sahu today appeared for her geography paper at the same centre.

Since Jyoti is appearing for her board examination, the police have not put pressure on her by any further questioning, Ghosh contended.

The officials of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education have said that they did not want to probe into the matter.

“Our job is to conduct the examination and as per our information. The girl sat for her geography paper today,” said Mamata Ray, president of the board.

The board will decide on its course of action later if the girl is found guilty of lying, officials of the board said.
