“They said Islam does not permit terrorism. If it can be put in practice, it will be most welcome,” BJP spokesman V K Malhotra told reporters in New Dellhi.
“But world-over Islamic terrorism has increased. It will be good if they can create awareness about this all over the country,” he said.
Malhotra further said people, including medical and engineering students, have been caught in places like West Bengal and Hyderabad for having terror links.
“People in the country are now getting into it. Earlier, external forces like the ISI were fostering terrorism here,” he said.

RatingInterference by one religious group into another, assumption of superiority and inferiority or announcement within them should come to an end. Converts considering themselves as sworn enemies of the shuned religion more than they are following the taken religion all these are seeds to conflict and terror, after conversion they don't go by their work and the religious heads preach them how to pester others, without understanding the outcome and huge damages.

The Deobandhi seminary has been instrumental in postulating many disasterous interpretations of Islam foremost among them being the two nation theory and the recent one being the theocratic support to Talibanism.I remember that a decade ago when a cleric from this school was given a purse by the Dubai ruler in recognition of his services to Islam , he promptly made over the same to Taliban .The main purpose of the clerics meet is to bring pressure on the State to ensure that Muslims are not investigated for terrorism related crimes.This is a direct interference in the law and order domain by the muslim theocrats and is against Indian Constitution.They seem to want to run with the hares and hunt with the hounds , a bunch of hate mongers spreading violence in the society at large!

How about if i say in India we develop a system where no one carries their family name and no where, on application forms, have to write the cast or religion. Secondly we should have single law for all the people across the country and reservations based on family size not by caste or religion, no voting for criminals for least 10 years. Sounds radical? The Pakistanis must have to understand that not onlyIndians but Bangladeshi,Nepalis,Bhutanis,Burmese,Lankans and all the small and large lands have the same blood and DNA, and the religion can never change it even if some one from the sky drops down to chage it, cannot just happen so and only united ASIA is possible.

Hi Anees, you overwhelmed my emotions by saying what you said... I would have felt the same not only with you but even with any other person of indian citizen.. But the matter of fact is not what you said but why you need to justify yourself by saying what you said. Deoband scholars have their view but after how many years? do they endorse the same especially Kashmir name in the act. I have not even hear that from one muslim. I personally know kashmir muslims who study in Delhi, work in delhi but support jihad in Kashmir against indian army and India... I fail to understand that logic... hope I made my point..

RIS you started off well about an Indian muslim. He does find a mosque around, he does find a halal meat shop. But you fail to get the last part wrong. For the reasons best known to you. By finding a mosque and a halal shop, an indian muslim is not being unpatriotic. That does not stop him from mingling with the rest of the world. I don't have to prove my patriotism to anybody. I am an NRI, muslim and an Indian and I am proud of all my identities for they donot contradict with each other.
Dear Mr. RIS: I am a Hindu, NRI and travel around the globe constantly for making a living. I see a lot of Hindu temples (as well as Shops and restaurants)built by NRIs and I am happy about it. It is convenient for me. Similarly our Muslim bretheren build a place for worship (and shops)and this cannot be construed as being un-patriotic! There were many interviews of British english speaking mullahs after London bombing by English media where mullahs clarify what they actually mean and who are "innocents"? They said very clearly that they CANNOT condemn a fellow muslim because their religion does not permit it. As a muslim, a muslim has allegiance with fellow muslims. A muslim must cooperate with and help another muslim and he/she is not allowed to condemn another fellow muslim. And as far as innocence is concerned, a non-muslim is never innocent because a non-muslim is already a guilty of not believing in allah (interview-videos can be found on youtube). So, the question is, the fatwa of Deobandi ulemas makes any sense to non-muslims? Have they condemned any muslim terrorists? Have they defined who is a "innocent"? This fatwa is just a strategic step hooked with an appeasing community-demand, keeping in view the election-time ahead, from the muslim-votes-hungry-UPA to not prosecute the islamic terrorists. Today the whole community has come forward to protect its terrorists, this Deobandi-conference is historic in this sense. If innocent muslims are prosecuted, has anyone sued/won any case in the court of law, when one has been prosecuted due to the affiliation with his/her religion?
