Prez award for 10 police officers

Chandigarh, January 25 On Republic Day, ten officers and officials of Haryana Police will receive the President's Police Medals for their meritorious services.

C P Bansal, Managing Director, Haryana Police Housing Corporation, will be honoured with the President's Police Medal. The other awardees are Parminder Rai, IGP, State Vigilance Bureau, Rajbir Deswal, DIG-CID, Panchkula, Rattan Singh, DSP, CID, Jai Naraian, Inspector Police Headquarters, Panchkula, Harpal Singh, Inspector ,Traffic, Karnal, Indra Wati, Sub-Inspector, HPA, Madhuban, Ranbir Singh, Sub-Inspector, State Crime Record Bureau, Madhuban, Kulwant Singh, ASI, State Vigilance Bureau, Panchkula and Ravinder Singh, SI, Chandigarh.

Deswal is a National Police Trainer of the Bureau of Police Research and Development. Deswal is credited with having trained almost 500 middle-level officers in the country, in fields like hostage negotiations, critical incident-cum-disaster management, public information management, community policing, communication skills and creative writing. He has been to USA and UK on official assignments, and has replicated modules of the US Anti Terrorist Assistance Programme in India.
