C P Bansal, Managing Director, Haryana Police Housing Corporation, will be honoured with the President's Police Medal. Deswal is a National Police Trainer of the Bureau of Police Research and Development. Deswal is credited with having trained almost 500 middle-level officers in the country, in fields like hostage negotiations, critical incident-cum-disaster management, public information management, community policing, communication skills and creative writing. He has been to USA and UK on official assignments, and has replicated modules of the US Anti Terrorist Assistance Programme in India.
