Primary school teachers given training under ‘Padho Punjab’

Ludhiana On the directive of Krishan Kumar, Director General, Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan, Punjab, a 13-day training is being imparted to the teachers of government primary schools, teacher fellows and block primary education officers under “Padho Punjab” project being run by Sarv Shiskha Abhiyan in collaboration with “Pratham”, a non-government organisation.

Sarabjit Kaur Mangat, district coordinator of SSA, and Jagroopjit Singh, district coordinator of “Padho Punjab,” said, “The teachers are being imparted the basic knowledge of languages, mathematics and English. The teachers, block primary education officers, BRP training fellows besides newly-appointed teachers are being trained through block master trainers.”

Sarabjit Kaur said, “Different officers of the Education Department also shared their views with the trainees. The five-day long training is being imparted to the trainees in different groups.”
