Senior CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury said the recent spate of terrorist attacks in Muslim-dominated areas have raised “genuine suspicions of a Hindu hardline response to some Muslim terrorist actions”.
Citing probe into 2003 blasts in Parbani Jalna and Jalgaon, 2005 blasts in Mau of UP, 2006 blasts in Nanded, 2008 blasts in Tenkasi and Kanpur, he said, “investigations in the past few years have noted the involvement of Bajrang Dal or other RSS outfits in various bomb blast cases.
“Internal security of our country can be strengthened only when all such cases are also probed impartially and with the same degree of intensity... Action against Bajrang Dal under the Unlawful Activities Act must be initiated,” Yechury told a meeting of the National Integration Council here.
Noting that all efforts to combat terrorism must be strengthened, Yechury said these activities must be conducted in “utmost impartially” and organisations and individuals found to indulge in terrorism must be dealt with the same yardstick irrespective of their religion.
“No persecution, as widely perceived by the Muslim minority, should be permitted,” he said.
Alleging that the Centre has “failed to intervene” in Orissa despite six weeks of continuous attacks against Christians in Orissa, the senior CPI(M) leader demanded the invocation of Article 355 against Orissa and Karnataka governments.
With the economic divide between the rich and the poor widening, Yechury said, the scramble between social groups in the country has intensified adversely affecting both social justice and national integration.
“The earlier slogans of ‘sons of soils’ are finding newer expressions in the current chauvinistic campaign in Maharashtra,” he said.
On the sudden spurt in terrorist attacks in the country, the CPI(M) leader said that security and intelligence gathering apparatus should be strengthened and the question of modernisation of police and other security forces must be addressed soon.
“There is also an urgent need to take stringent measures to ensure that terrorist and militant outfits do not use facilities beyond our borders for conducting their anti-national activities,” he said.
It is also being widely believed that one of the causes of the recent spate of terror attacks is the “real and perceived injustice felt by religious minorities in the country, Yechury said.
“Such sharpening of communal polarisation for political gains only feeds the impermissible terroristic response. While terrorism is simply unacceptable and must be combated, this needs to be done on the basis of impeccable impartiality by the organs of the state,” he added.

The UPA government has during its rule has poisoned the society so much that it has erupted in social unrest throughout India. Obviously, its policies have damaged the social fabric of the society. It is unfortunate that learned man like Shri Sita Ram Yechury fails to see it. While on one hand UP{A government talks of national integration but in reality sowing the seeds of disintegration through secularism and divisive policies, e.g., Mandalization, vote bank creation, farmer's land acquisition, support for terrorists etc. The law of land is not applied to terrorists and criminals. Stop these absurdities if you care for India.
I think it is not so important to investigate Sang Parivaar.More important is to investigate the CPI(M) who are agents of China.They are the real traitors of the country.Whoever is in the wrong has to be dealth with the law but for a solution it is important to find out the root cause and solve the problem,though it will not be easy.

Looks like we have a long way to be called as 'Developed Country'. Neither our people are developed nor leaders. All are sailing in the same boat. In a developed country, the topic of religion does not arise. It is the development of human resource and economical growth that makes 'developed country'. First of all it is not about Hindu or Muslim. Since you brought up the issue, let me suggest you open up your eyes and ears. The family that has been burnt alive is not a Hindu family, but a muslim family which included a 2 year old girl.
