According to the police, the pimp who was running the racket managed to flee when a police raiding team reached the parlour.
One Manoj Kumar (26) had placed an advertisement in a daily newspaper mentioning the “Tanu Shree Model Super Class Full Body Massage Service by decent and educated model type charming and beautiful female staff” recently, which the police found suspicious.
He also gave 209, Ground Floor, Krishna Nagar, as his address and also mentioned his mobile number in the advertisement. When a police officer posing as a decoy customer called Manoj, he reportedly told the officer he could provide girls for prostitution any time and has supplied girls in past as well. “He was very confident and the advertisement was very funny. It said decent and beautiful girls for massage. There was no correlation,” said a senior police officer.
Police officers in plainclothes reached the Krishna Nagar address on Thursday. They sent in a person posing to be a customer. After taking payment, Manoj asked Nisha (name changed), around 22 years old, to have “sex with the customer”. But when he suddenly realised there were some other men outside, Manoj fled from another exit.
Nisha was taken into custody and was booked under Sections 4, 5, 7 and 8 of the ITP Act.
Officers said Manoj had been running the racket from the parlour for the last few months and had four-five girls working for him. “He charged between Rs 1,000 and Rs 3,000 from customers, depending on their backgrounds, and paid a salary to these girls. He called the girls to this accommodation whenever a deal was struck. We are also looking for the other girls, apart from Manoj Kumar,” said a source.
