Paes admitted he doesn't see his estranged 'Indian Express' partner eye-to-eye on virtually every issue but insisted Bhupathi should put aside the difference keeping in mind the country's interest.
"I find it really silly. It is childish on his part because we are hurting ourselves in the process. At the end of the day, both of us are losers," Paes said, reacting to Bhupathi's e-mail to the All India Tennis Association in which he said he would prefer to team up with Rohan Bopanna, instead of Paes, in Beijing.
"It's unreasonable and ridiculous to claim that any other pair would do better than me and Mahesh," Paes said in New Delhi on Thursday.
Bhupathi had said that there was no communication between him and Paes and with the pair not playing together on the ATP Tour, they are bound to reach Beijing under-prepared. In such a scenario, Bhupathi said he would prefer teaming up with Bopanna.
Paes held Bhupathi responsible for lack of any communication between them. "I've always tried to communicate but it has always been a one-way communication. He has not communicated with me even once. He has communicated only through letters and e-mails to the AITA," he said.

Paes is calling Bupati as childish. The only thing childish here is Paes using the word "childish". There should be some logic in what he is saying. Just because Mr Paes calls other people names that person will not become what Paes is calling him. The reasoning Paes is giving here for calling Bupati as childish is actually making only Paes childish. There is no way to vreify now who insulted whom first and who did not talk to whom. But if relationship is not good then its not easy to win matches. Relationship is important in doubles and Bupati is many times doubles grandslam winner and he has some sense about this. Paes better shut his trap. We are not fools to accept his rubbish logic.

Bhupati did not say he wont play with Paes- he said he wantes Paes to play with him in the internatiomnal circuit and get real hard practice. No one easily gets such achance to play- Bhupati has the influence to get 3 tournament entries. Paes refused to team Bhupati for the practice matches - so Bhupati said he cannot play without practice. No SANE person/coach/effective Tennis Manager/Sports manager in the world who is worth some respect will call Bhupati unpatriotic for that- they will only call Paes unrealistic. Playing in the olypics is no joke - it has some standards and requirements. How come you are so biased?.If you find this unreasonable logic- i will say just one more thing....

If PEs does not agree to sane prepartion with Bhupathi then Bhupati has no other option but to play with someone else. Bhupati is playing to win, not to suit Leander's silly ego.what sort of Logic is your's that says Paes started playing first and so Bhupati should adjust?. I dont see any sense in this. No one will. Paes will not agree to practice in international tournaments with Bhupati. You cant straight go to an Olympics without the right practice. Bhupati said first international tournament practice together then Olympics. You say why Paes not agreeing. You think Paes is King and Bhupati slave. Bhupati following international standards. If you play together then you can get friendlier and be more prepared. Are you a tennis doubles player?- i am and i know. Why are you not speaking the whole truth and quaoting only selected interview parts?. I think you are unfair and unjust.

Thanks Stephen. I would get angry just like you if the facts repoted today was the full truth. But if we see many days reports we will understand Leander is not speaking the full truth. I got angry with Leander only because he was creating mischief by playing politics with the issue so that he gets a good name and Bhupati gets a bad name. I have seen Leander getting emotional many many times internationally, so emotional can always be expected from him. There is no way LEander and Bhupati can win if they first dont try to become good friends. Playing together before Bejing is a good chance to become friends and also good preparation. Leander was my hero many years back, but he was taking wrong decisions often and acting childish and so my opinion changed and i gave up hope on him.

Look at previous day's paper reports where Bhupati asked Paes to play practice matches and Paes refused. What patriotism are you talking about?.
