RCGC inter-school golf finals

Kolkata, June 15 La Martiniere for Boys (A) and Don Bosco walked away with the coveted Over-13 and Under-13 titles in the 4th edition of the Inter-School Golf Championship played at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club (RCGC) on June 14 and 15.

A record 16 schools and 34 teams participated in the leading school-golf event supported by the RCGC and Taylor Made. Interestingly, five teams from the caddy boys schools vied for the honours in the 2-day tournament. The tournament’s inception dates back by four years when RCGC-based Protouch Academy and golfer Gaurav Ghosh masterminded the novel initiative. Picture on right: The winners with SSP Chawrasia.

Final results:

Category A: Over 13 yrs of age: Winner: La Martiniere for Boys (A) - Ishan Kanoi and Ishan Bajoria. Runner-up: Rajendra Siksha Sadan – Md Feroz and Susanta Das. 2nd Runner-up: St John’s High School - Tutul Ali Mollah and Puru Arora.

Category B: Under 13 yrs of age: Winner: Don Bosco: Viraj Madappa and Ishaan Kanoria. Runner-up: La Martiniere for Boys (A) - Raghubir Chowdhury and Aman Singhal. 2nd Runner-up: La Martiniere for Boys (C) - Devdeep Duttagupta and Jai Gohain.
