Mukesh Ambani

New Delhi Mukesh Ambani-run Reliance Industries filed a caveat in the Supreme Court to ensure it is given a chance to explain itself in a case relating to natural gas supply to Anil Ambani group firm RNRL.

RNRL earlier moved the apex court seeking modification of the Bombay High Court ruling that suggested firming up gas supply contract through negotiations.

When contacted, an RIL spokesperson confirmed filing the caveat against an ex parte judgment.

RIL had earlier talked about filing appropriate proceedings in the Supreme Court against the judgment delivered by the Bombay High Court on June 15, 2009.

The High Court had ruled that RNRL should get gas from RIL at a price of USD 2.34 per mmbtu, but had asked the two companies to firm up an agreement on related issues within a month.

Mukesh Ambani files caveat in supreme court regarding gas price against Anil by N.Sivsubramanian on 04 Jul 2009

i dont understand why brothers are fighting unnecessarily themselves. are they having any tamasha (for fun) for the saking of getting publicity from people and media or are they really fighting among themselves. how they have amassed wealth within a short span of time, after the demise of the founder of the group? are they really paying taxes to the govt at all or never paying. previously during nehru days, parliament used to announce who are owing taxes to the govt (particularly big business houses like birlas, tatas, etc. nowadays we dont know who owed taxes to the govt or whether arrears of taxes are being paid or not. think congress is supporting ambanis, on reciprocal basis
