New Delhi In a new turn in their tussle, RJD chief Lalu Prasad declared his party's intention to field its candidates against the Congress in three seats held by it in Bihar and accused it of trying to ‘finish’ regional parties.

Blowing hot and cold against Congress, Lalu likened Congress' aim of contesting 37 seats in Bihar to build their organisation as "digging a well when one's house is on fire".

Arguing that Congress alone is not UPA, he told reporters "if the name UPA name remains it is good, otherwise some other name can be adopted and some other front will be formed."

In reply to questions, he said there is no plan to ally with the third front. "We are part and parcel of UPA...its my responsibility to keep the UPA intact and I am ready to make any sacrifice for it."

Lalu also said the UPA will come back to power and that Manmohan is ‘suitable’ for being the Prime Minister again.

Notwithstanding the battle with Congress in Bihar, Lalu said he has ‘high respect’ for Congress President Sonia Gandhi and did not want to involve her in any controversy.

Carrying his fight with Congress which has announced that it will contest 37 of the 40 seats in Bihar, including giving tickets to his estranged brother-in-law Sadhu Yadav, he said RJD will field candidates in Aurangabad, Sasaram and Madhubani -- the three seats held by Congress now.

what RJD did to congress is nothing-see tamil nadu by oldindian on 23 Mar 2009

Congress the true secular party. They can bend themselves anyways and do anybody's bidding. The amount of insult that is being heaped on congress - whether it is in UP or bihar or tamil nadu - in tamil nadu it is about to enter alliance with thiruma who beat pictures of rajiv and sonia with chappals and attacked congress office. Anything goes for power is congress mantra of secularism. Lage raho congress!

If we follow those leaders who ask us to retain their fiefdoms for the sake of our follies, India will be divided into thousands of mini states. It would only development. That means our children will be living in perpetual poverty and ignorance. Do we want this thing to happen?

Laloo Ji by vijay on 22 Mar 2009

"Aapne hamein Bihar diya hai, hum aapko Delhi denge". That is what Laloo said when on Sonia`s behest, congress supported Laloo in Bihar. Little did Sonia had anticipated from shrewed Laloo, what he did to congress recently- showed Congress the mirror. He has made it clear that Congress is worth of nothing. Every one knows, Laloo did wrong when he made his totally illetetrate wife the chief minister. But our constitution! We are proud of it, inspite of its big shortcomings. Congress only proved , by supporting Laloo, that they have no political idiology whatsoever. Laloo too understood this. He made every single leader of the senior ruling partner a big fool. And when the time came he proved that he is the true politician not Madam Sonia.

Corruption galore in the Country by Govind Saran on 22 Mar 2009

Sonia and her advisors are solely responsible for the present mess of the UPA.It failed and neglected to curb corruption amongst its own members which encoraged corruption amongst the service members to such an extent that nothing was done but for the prices and yet get away from any penalty. The corruption thus spread the other smaller parties like RJD,ADMK, LTJ wet tal>The Congress also encoraged other goons .They were encoraged by dishonest and corrupt media who thought they can make and destroy Govts for money.None of them relised that had they all remained honest to their morals and ehics by which they swore, they could have helped the Country. They all allowed Sharad Pawar,Reddy,Karunanidhi ect to become satrap of their territory>All this was done just keep BJP out of power. They even attempted brand BJP as Hindu Terrorists through Pawar and corrupt Police Karkare. Now that the cat is out of the bag the reality will be seen..
