Director: Ishaan Trivedi
Rating:*
A new relationship makes way for one that’s irretrievably broken-down. Or has it? Ishaan Trivedi’s new film is about young love and confusion and confirmation, flitting in and out of studios, and TV screens, and Facebook status updates. The only thing missing in this Love In The Time Of New Media is Twitter, except the film seems to have been fashioned as a series of tweets: First Meeting With Potential In-laws, This Morning, followed by Eating Pakodas, The Next Evening. And so on.
Vivaan (Himesh Reshammiya) is a popular RJ, trying to get over a recent divorce, with the help of the perky Shanaya (Shehnaz Treasurywala). So are they ‘just good friends’ or something more? His ex, Pooja (Sonal Sehgal), is very much around, and is pining away for him, and it’s all very complicated.
Actually it’s not. We can see where ‘Radio’ is going pretty soon after the characters get introduced and settle into their tracks—sometimes, an ex remains an ex, however much they try getting back. But the film needs to make us spend some time while the lead players get themselves all sorted, so we are treated to some funny interludes between confused boy-friend Vivaan and Shanaya’s Punjabi pa and Parsi ma.
In between, there are scenes where the threesome (yeah, Vivaan-Shanaya-Pooja have cosy dinners together) fling about crockery and such Gen Y parlance as: are you like just buddies, or ---k buddies? And oh yes, ‘Radio’ also uses that other word ‘closure’ before it, well, closes.
Himesh looks older than he should. As well as more morose than he needs to. The girls do their job. The songs are nice, though. Hum along.

I have seen 'Radio-Love on Air', 'Aap Ka Surroor-the movieee the real luv story' and Karzzzz. His acting has improved and in 'Radio-Love on Air' it is awesome. But 'Aap Ka Surroor-the movie the real luv story' was muc h better in all respects. People should start appreciating his efforts. No other actor/artist has this much perseverance that despite of haters' comments, he has been so popular. He knows his limits and is on grounds like Sachin and unlike Khans
I have heard people say that you will either LOVE Himesh or HATE him to the core. Looks like I fall in the latter part. How can somebody like Himesh be considered an actor? I donno how people can see his acting. hez pathetic.
Only Loud spoken One word.HIMESH RESHAMYA is going to make a lot of people mad bcause he is a well known nigger jack ass.
