Sitapur Starting his first tour after announcement of the election dates, AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi on Monday reminded people about the UPA government’s quota within quota for OBC Muslims and said while the Congress governments in other states have successfully implemented recommendations of the Sachar Committee, UP has failed to take any step ahead.

Launching the third phase of his mass contact programme by addressing a public meeting at Maholi in Sitapur district, Rahul said: “Other political parties have done politics of division in Uttar Pradesh. One political party sold the name of Ram, then SP came and talked of one particular caste, followed by BSP, which talked of another caste. The Congress is different. We do not talk of any one caste or religion and believe in the politics of equality so that everyone gets equal rights.”

The UPA government has introduced reservation for minorities “so that everyone gets equal right to progress,” he said.

Targeting Chief Minister Mayawati for opposing “Right to Food”, Rahul told the gathering: “We brought the Right to Information with the help of which you can counter corruption today, then we brought the Right to Education to ensure good education for your children, we brought Right to Employment through MGNREGA and now we are all set to bring the biggest right, that is, the Right to Food. But like every other good thing, your Chief Minister is opposing this as well.”

Calling removal of four ministers by Mayawati on Sunday an eyewash, Rahul said: “She removed four ministers when they had completed their five-year term. Some of her ministers are already facing CBI inquiry.”

Congress play the dirty trick again by Narendra on 27 Dec 2011

Congress calls it self as a non-secular party and has been playing the dirty trick again and again by emotionally dividing people in the name of religion. Why Muslim quota now? during election time only.It is a blunder this politians do and the entire country would suffer for it and for years. Infact Rahul Gandhi should have guts to say that the rervation would be only on the basis of income/poverty. Rahul Gandhi has failed to make good impression, while i dont understand why congress thinks he is thier blue eye boy. Please unite people and for God sake stop this dirty politics. We dont want you ....
