Raichur witnesses grandpa, grandson battle

Bangalore, May 14: Raichur Assembly constituency in Karnataka is witnessing an unusual battle of ballot between a grand father and his grandson.

Congress MP from Raichur A Venkatesh Naik is fighting the poll against his grandson Shivanna Gouda Naik of JDS.

The four time Lok Sabha MP, Venkatesh has to curse his own fate, as it was he whom groomed Shivanna in this constituency.

Congress rejecting Venkatesh plea for a ticket to his son, however asked to take to the battle by himself and Shivanna who had been nurturing the constituency decided to fight it out against his mentor and grandfather.
