Mumbai A day after the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) announced they had cracked the 13/7 triple blasts case, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray used it to vent his ire against migrants, stressing that people from Bihar had set off blasts in Mumbai.

He also said that cars and motorbikes were being stolen from Mumbai and used in elections in UP and terror activities.

The ATS said the two persons arrested on Monday in the case hailed from Darbhanga in Bihar. “I have been repeatedly saying that crimes are being committed in Mumbai by outsiders. These people come here and conduct terror activities. The arrest of terrorists hailing from Bihar yesterday in the 13/7 serial blasts case has confirmed my claim,” he said.

After State Election Commissioner Neela Satyanarayan warned Thackeray to mind his words while talking about the commission, Thackeray wondered why they cannot question its decision. He had questioned the clean chit given by SEC to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

“Can we not ask the SEC questions? If Pawar is cleared by rendering an apology, will the same be applied to us?”

What an opinion ! by unknown indian on 25 Jan 2012

Wow, as a marathi manoos, I now feel proud that I belong to a community which is free of crime ! I am proud that marathi manoos did not vandalise Bhandarkar museum, did not destroy Singhania hospital, did not run diesel mafias, did not destroy numerous buses and trains in bandhs etc., all these in addition to having Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar, in the community ! Thanks, Raj saaheb, for such an insight ! (By the way, was the media a mere spectator when this statement was made ?)
