Mumbai, January 9: In a sarcastic remark, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray ‘thanked’ Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh for not arresting him.

Thackeray, who was the chief guest at his son's school, made this comment when the organisers of the function thanked him for his presence.

"Don't thank me. Thank Vilasrao that I am still out," he said while speaking at the function.

Later while talking to the students he told them not to call Mumbai as Bombay as the word Mumbai is derived from the word Mumbadevi, the goddess and 'Aai' is the Marathi word for mother.
