The migration of Maharastrians in large number into Mumbai happened after 1930 and more after Mumbai was given to Maharastra.the states were created after independence, Look at UP, people of Western UP are from same tribe as Jats/Rajputs/Gujjars from Rajasthan and Punjab/Haryana/himachal yet they were lumped in UP. Mumbai being lumped in Maharastra is NO DIFFERENT. state did not exist before british rule!!!! Bullshit about Mumbai being part of Maharastra is Recent.

Come on guys grow up. We are living in a much globalized world. Free movemnet of capital, labour, information are the engines of growth. Every place in India or any other country is unique. Mumbai cannot be like Chennai or Delhi and vise versa. None can claim to be superior.If all places are alike there is no variety. That variety is a beauty. Stopping train is an illegal activity which should be curbed in the bud iteself. It brings much hardship to the public. But which party in India can claim to be free of this crime? None!!! It has become a fashion to criticise those who stand up for a cause.I am a south Indian staying in Maharashtra .I have no problem in living here. I speak marathi . I respect the loca sentiments .Why cannot North Indians or Tamilians do the same.Why cannot they mix with the society ? Does he not have money to have his security ?That too for a fiction created by politician friend that his house was attacked!! Why cannot the film actor bulild a school from his money. They want land from some one, cement from soem one else, free labour by some one etc and the name of the scholl should be that of their family member ?Height of North Indian hypocricy!

We as people can never stand up to Law in a fair way . First their were riots right from 1947 when people committed murder – forget religion, no one was tried!! We let it go (All is fair , tit for tat ) and then there were more riots . In the 60's Shiv Sena had this drive against Mangaloreans from Karnataka. Raj Thackeray just cannot rethink of doing the same because of the number of Marathis in Bangalore who will take the brunt of his actions.
