Jaipur Films shoots can help to boost tourism in Rajasthan, but there should be better infrastructure to woo producers to the desert state, said actor Anupam Kher here today.

"The Rajasthan Government should provide good infrastructure to film industry and other necessary facilities to develop the state as a good shooting destination which will help to attract tourists and promote the tourism industry,” Kher said.

Rajasthan has rich heritage sites and traditional culture which make it a good location for films, Kher said during a visit to the Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer hospital here.

He gave the example of Yash Chopra films shot in Switzerland which played a vital role in increasing the inflow of Indian tourists to the country.

He said the government should also establish a film academy and film city in Rajasthan.

Kher interacted with child cancer patients who asked him questions on his life and film career.

He said one of the most critical moments of his life was when he came to know that his brother was also a cancer patient.

He also visited a exhibition by students of schools including Subodh Public School, Tagore Public School and Mahveer Public School etc.
