Mumbai, February 12: Though tense about possible arrest of MNS chief Raj Thackeray, his family members said on Tuesday they were ready to face any consequences that may arise due to the stand taken by him on the issue of north Indians.

"Since Raj is fighting for the Marathi Manus, we are ready to face any consequence..... but there is tension in the house," Raj's mother-in-law Padma Wagh said.

She voiced concern about Raj's son Amit, who is going to appear for the tenth standard examination next month.

"I am worried about Amit because of Raj's likely arrest, as he has to appear for SSC exams next month," she said.

"My grandchildren are too young to understand what is going on," Padma said adding, "Sharmila, my daughter is in touch with me over phone."

Raj's father-in-law, Mohan Wagh, who is a well-known Marathi drama director, spoke to Raj about the current political situation and conveyed his support to him on Monday.

"If Raj is doing something good, why should one be afraid. He's a nice boy and people have understood what he is saying. Now people will realise who is the real leader of the Marathi Manus," Mohan said.

"Raj is not against the poor 'Uttar Bhartiya'. He is opposing their show of strength," added Mohan.

Raj family stands united - let them go to hell... by oldindian on 12 Feb 2008

Raj has shown the way. Andhra should wait for some one from andhra to learn gas extracting business. Since reliance is owned by gujaratis they should not be allowed. Orissa should wait for some oriya to learn aluminium extraction. What about Tata? aah they are not marathi manus - yes correct, they should be deported to Iran. what about their factories? I think factories should be dismantled and whichever part came from whichever state, say cement from tamil nadu, asbestos sheet from say punjab they should reclaim those portions. Maharashtra sugar should be consumed only by marathis. What about export? Since Kamal nath is from madhya pradesh only madhya pradeshis(?) should be allowed to export. Some father in law, some son in law combo. Center should seriously consider putting these crackposts into museum for the world to see.

if this Goonda,RajThakre is man enough let him travel outside outside maharashtra without his security guards.he will know what is Life Insecurity.C'mon be a man.the cities problems are its creaky infrastructure, corrupt Muncipal councillors, ward officers and Centre's apathy and state politicians penchant to make money out of the City.If Raj is wise enough let him demand Bombay(mumbai) to be made a state like Delhi.if he stands for elections he will have to lick the shit of Bombay or Mumbaikars.

DEVIDE AND RULE??? Who's deviding whom from what? Marathi Leader is fighting for his mother tongue and mother land. He's not hating N-Indians, but demanding priority for Marathis. There's an examle if you want to know what will happen if Marathis don't do this struggle. Bangalore is no more a "Kannadiga"s city.
