New Delhi Sri Ram Sene activists stormed a gathering of Indian and Pakistani journalists in New Delhi on Wednesday.

The journalists had gathered at the India International Centre to take part in a panel discussion on "Is Media Jingoism Fanning Indo-Pak Tension."

However, the panel discussion was disrupted when the Sri Ram Sene group stormed the venue and raised slogans against Pakistani journalists.

With relations between India and Pakistan touching a low after the 26/11 attacks, such acts of hatred have become a common phenomenon.

The Sri Ram Sene is a radical Hindu group led by Pramod Muthalik.

Muthalik's Sri Ram Sene had earlier attacked a group of women in a pub in Mangalore.

right direction, wrong method by swati on 15 Apr 2009

While it is uncivilised to disrupt any gathering (but then it is Ram Sene), the Pak Jurnos spread a bunch of lies about India. They keep harping on how India tortures muslims and how our democracy is useless. How else will they sell their papers? Please read Dawn (one of the most liberal papers) and decide. Let us not kid ourselves, this is not the time for bhai-bhai stuff. After 26/11, if we want our leaders to be tough on Pak, then lets lead by example. The time for people to people contact is over. But sadly, our leftist jurnos and the likes of Mahesh bhatt and Nandita das will never get it.
