The boy, identified as Sunny, told mediapersons who located him on Monday that “a bald person” said he would give him a samosa and Rs 5 for taking a bath under the tap following which he agreed to do so.
The incident of the minor boy taking a bath in cold water tap at the tableau became a major issue with the Madhya Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights taking cognizance of the matter and issuing notices to the authorities concerned.
The in-charge minister of Dewas district, Jagdish Devda, also directed the Collector and SP to take strict action against those responsible for the incident.
