This was stated by the Chief Minister after inaugurated a four storey building of the Lawyers Chamber Complex built at a cost of Rs 4.50 crore at Karnal.
Hooda said that the legal fraternity had played a vital role in the national freedom movement. He asked the lawyers to contribute their mite in providing justice to the poor at the lowest cost. Hooda also announced a grant of Rs 10 lakh for the library.
The CM asked the District Administration to identify a suitable piece of land for the construction of additional chambers for the advocates. Justice Jasbir Singh, Administrative Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court, said that judicial complexes at all the district headquarters of the state will be ready in one and a half years.
Amar Jit Singh Sahni, President Karnal Bar Association, appreciated the effort of the state government in providing a better working atmosphere to the advocates. Those present on the occasion included Arvind Sharma, MP, Kuldeep Sharma, Working President HPCC, Meena Mandal, Cooperative Minister, Dharamvir Singh, Chief Parliament Secretary, Prof Virender Singh, Political Advisor to CM, Sumita Singh, Rajrani Poonam, Jai Singh Rana, all MLAs, District and Session Judge PL Ahuja and former MP, Tara Singh.
