Subsequently, the board officials blocked the websites. The results were scheduled to be declared at 10 am, but students had to wait for another couple of hours for the results. The marksheets were dispatched from the centres and reached the schools by afternoon. According to the board officials, the websites did not function till 10:50 am. Last year, some TV channels had broadcast the details of the toppers even before the results were officially declared by the board. The authorities had then blamed the websites for the leak.

Today, principals of various schools were seen accompanying their students to the studios of TV channels. Ratan Kabasi, the principal of Akra Shaktigarh Rabindra Vidyapith, had his hopes on a couple of students. With Nilanjan Das making it to the merit list, the principal accompanied the student to the newsrooms of various channels.
