Mohali Anuradha Bali, alias Fiza, on Thursday gave her husband, former Haryana deputy chief minister Chander Mohan alias Chand Mohammad, 48 hours to return to her or face the consequences.

“I will expose him. I will not sit quiet. No politician will again dare to do something like this to any other woman,” the 37-year-old said at her home. “Will he now convert to Christianity and become Peter to bring home a Rosy? Inko talaak dene ki to aadat nahi hai (He is not in the habit of giving divorce),” she said, referring to their marriage without divorcing Chand’s first wife Seema.

Fiza and her lawyer Rohit Mahajan hinted at taking a legal recourse, but said their future course of action will be decided only after the deadline elapses. She also showed some love letters allegedly written to her by Chand — one of them saying “I love you Anu” written in blood, she claimed. Reacting to Chand’s claim that the SMSs disclosed by her may have been sent by someone else, Fiza ridiculed, “now, he will say these love letters were written by his personal assistant.”

“My home has been destroyed... I’m passing through the most trying times,” she said. Refusing to accept that she had ruined Chand’s first family, Fiza claimed he had professed his love for her even in front of his first wife Seema. “Seema was well aware that her husband was after me and after years of being chased, I gave up when he threatened to end his life,” she said. Fiza asked Chand to come clean on what compelled him to first marry her and then leave her, if he was not under duress. “Why does he always appears before the media in a car?”

Chand-Fiza pair a disgrace to Bharatiyas by Bharata on 23 Feb 2009

This Chander-Anuradha alias Chand-Fiza duo are thugs who have misused our laws. Both deserve no respect or sympathy. Both individuals have disgraced Bharatiya men and women. They deserve to be drowned in a cesspit of public condemnation. These two have also made a mockery of law, marriage and religion. What a disgrace to us all Bharatiyas!

Heads I win, Tails you lose! by Jayadevan on 07 Feb 2009

If you had allowed him to kill himself, all concerned would have been very happy. Now, beti, this is India. The woman is always to blame. His wife for driving him to find love in the arms of a strange woman. You for destroying a family. He is always a hero. Return home, he is Bhagwan Ram returned from the forests. Stay with you, he is a modern Majnu who has sacrificed everything for love. Another advantage, men do not get pregnant. It is no use telling you that you should have known better. Women have a nurturing quality that these people take full advantage of. He is like a barnyard cock, who only needs to get on and off. You need family, children, someone to love and take care of. So, my child, count yourself lucky that you got rid of him so easily. Now if he comes back and cries you will always forgive him and take him back, won't you? After all, he is your Patidev, hain na, beti?

Typical Indian Women by jas on 09 Feb 2009

Well said, Jayadaven. Isn't it ironic if not pathetic that we men have to advise women even on something that they should naturally be aware of-their own freedom. I wonder when the women of India will start thinking for themselves.

Fiza waits for Chand by Jas on 06 Feb 2009

Your dedication to your husband of one month who did not even care to tell you before he left you, is not only commendable but heart warming too. It just renewed my faith in the stupidity of Indian women. I was concerned that education, professional careers and bad western culture would make Indian woman forget her duties, respect and responsibilities towards men. But thanks to you that is not happening. It is quite reassuring that my beloved Indian culture is safe in the hands of true Bhartiya Naris like you. And my god/Ram-like status which I truly deserve as an Indian Man and husband seems suddenly more secure. Thank you again. I think we should replace Sita with Anuradha/Fiza as the symbol of true Bhartiya Nari. I suggest you approach BJP to contest next election. They really need some good role models like youself to represent Indian culture of Hindutva.
