Lucknow
The names of BSP MLA Jitendra Singh and local party leader Imtizar Abdi have been added in the FIR filed in connection with the arson at the house of UPCC chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi in Lucknow.
The names of the two have been added on Friday night on the basis of a complaint by Joshi and Congress General Secretary Subodh Srivastava, police sources said on Saturday.
Singh is MLA from Bikapur assembly seat in Faizabad and Bobby is former president of Shia Degree College Lucknow. Earlier, the FIR had been filed against unidentified persons.
The Congress had lodged a written complaint against the two BSP leaders for allegedly ransacking Joshi's residence here and setting it on fire on July 15.

Well people rich and powerful can do anything they like with impunity - this has been aptly exemplified. All the videos and photographs showing the people who resorted to arson and in the act are getting away. They will only get emboldened further to commit more crimes in the presence of the camera without fear of the law. The TV channels may have some new programmes telecasting live crimes as the perpetrators will first phone in the media and then do all their evil deeds.
i m not supporter of bsp..but i feel its the pure game plotted by congress with the help of our english media..same they did to bjp in orisa, and other state results...and now trying to capture up UP..rahul is inteligent and crook..this is not support or hatred ness to any political party..its just a political analysis..
THIS IS GOONDAGARDI AND THE POLICE MUST TAKE PROPER ACTION
Thank God Sonia gandhi did not said else BSP would have burned Italy...
Yes, the miscreants who torched the house of Rita Bahubuna, must be booked and face the law.In fact Mayawati her self must be booked for heaping insults of the other castes of India for slogans like " Tilak Tarazoo or talwar, Inko maro Jute Chaar".
The miscreants, whoever they are, whatever their motivation or whatever status in life, must be made to pay compensation to Mrs. Joshi. They must also be made to pay punitive damages. Destruction of private and public property has become a way of life for political activists, which is a bad sign for the democracy.
Whoever it was done and provocated others to do so should bepunished under law. Law is same for every one, whether heis MLA/MP, bureaucrats or otherwise and no one should think under the clout of politics, they can escape. R.Sreekumar, Mayur Vihar-1, Delhi.
