Robbers attack two, loot valuables in Warje

Pune, February 16 A Gang of four robbers attacked two persons including a 23-year-old woman and looted their valuables of Rs 51,000 at Dukker Khind in Warje around 7.15 pm of Friday. A victim Ramesh Narayan Chavan (27) of Uttam Nagar has lodged a complaint at Warje Malwadi police station in this case.

According to the police, Chavan is a labour contractor. He and his niece Indu Sanjay Pawar were going to Uttam Nagar from Kothrud on a two-wheeler. On the way, Chavan took a halt at the Dukker Khind. Suddenly the robbers armed with knives came to the spot and threatened to kill them. The robbers attacked Chavan and Pawar with knives. They then snatched their ornaments and mobiles phones and fled. Police sub-inspector K M Pujari is investigating
