Mumbai, October 9: If things go as per plans, Rohit Shetty may soon be donning the hat as a director of sequel to ‘Kya Kool Hai Hum’. Work on the film may begin early next year. Though Rohit is yet to sign on the dotted line, Tusshar Kapoor is confident that he would indeed be getting together once again with his director of ‘Golmaal’ and ‘Golmaal Returns’.

"Professionally we get along very well", says Tusshar, "Though personally we may not be in touch on a daily basis, it is simply fun when we are on the sets. I like working with him since after Golmaal, he has worked hard on my character in Golmaal Returns as well. I also did a song and dance appearance in his Sunday. Now, the 'goonga' is back!"

Talking about Rohit being approached to do Kya Kool Hai Hum sequel, Tusshar reveals, "We had signed Rohit to do a film before Golmaal itself. However, now that Sangeeth Sivan (director of Kya Kool Hai Hum) is diverting his focus towards thrillers, we are looking at Rohit to do the sequel for us. He is happy about doing the project too."

How big are the plans for Kya Kool Hai Hum sequel? "The sequel of course has to be bigger than the original", says Tusshar promptly, "In any case, if one looks at movies directed by Rohit (Zameen, Golmaal, Sunday and now Golmaal Returns), he always thinks big. For him, films have to boast of big sets, lot of glamour, immense cool quotient, the works, you know!"

The star cast would comprise of new girls though Riteish may feature yet again as Tusshar's co-star. "Riteish is yet to be given a final narration and his presence in the film is yet to be locked. However, it would be great for us to be coming together again", says Tusshar.

On contacting, Rohit Shetty confirmed that he has been approached by Balaji for Kya Kool Hai Hum' sequel. "Yes, I am committed to do a film by Balaji and they want Kya Kool Hai Hum sequel to be that film. However, I am yet to go through the final script. Once I like what I read and we all are on the same page for the sequel plans, I would confirm plans for the film", details Rohit.
