Rs 3.4 lakh stolen from car in Panchkula

Panchkula, February 22 Rs 3.4 lakh was stolen from the car of a Panchkula-based property dealer late on Friday evening. The car was parked in Sector 11, Panchkula. Ashok Kumar, a resident of Sector 17, said he had collected cash from another property dealer in Sector 10 and had kept it in his car of Skoda make.

He said he parked the car outside the Sector 11 showrooms where he has his office. He said when he returned from office, he found one of the windows of the car broken and the cash missing.

SHO, Sector 5, Balwant Rai, said Kumar had told police that this could be the doing of his previous driver, Rakesh. Kumar said he had thrown Rakesh out of the job. A case has been registered.
