It was Delhi Public School who were in attacking mode right through out the match. For most of the time, Delhi Public School had the possession of the ball but all of their efforts were thwarted by an alert defense of Ryan International School. Rupam was the star of the day for Ryan International School as he thwarted most of the attacks by Delhi Public School's forwards. Against the run of play, Ryan International also had a few chances to have a close look at the DPS goal but failed to score.
As the regulation session ended unproductive, the tie-breaker rule was applied. Ryan International converted all their five penalties through Karan, Rupam, Divjot, Gagan and Richiru. For Delhi Public School, Qazi, Rohit and Nkkhil converted their spot kicks while Abhinav and Chitterjeet frittered away their chances. Sahil Dutt was adjudged the best goalkeeper of the tournament. Piyush Dhingra got the best player of the tournament award while Vishaw Srivastava was declared the most promising player.
Earlier, in the first semi-final match, DPS 'A' of Pinjore outplayed Mount Carmel, Sector 47, Chandigarh with a margin of 5-0. Qazi (5th, 9th), Alok (13th, 21st) and Chitterjeet (25th) were the scorers for the winning team. In the second semi-final, Ryan International School, Chandigarh defeated DPS 'B' by 2-0. Piyush (22nd) and Gagan (35th) scored one goal each.
