SBoP donates multipurpose van to Patiala hospital

Patiala, January 31 As part of its corporate social responsibility, the State Bank of Patiala today donated a multipurpose van to Saket Hospital, Patiala, which is being run by the Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab.

At a function held in the State Bank of Patiala head office, managing director of the bank AC Varma handed over the keys of the van to the secretary of Punjab Red Cross Society V K Puri.

Speaking on the occasion, Varma said there is urgent need to eradicate drug addiction in Punjab. He asked the Saket Hospital team to find out the causes of drug addiction in the state and methods to control it.

Puri said that the step taken by the bank will go a long way in fighting the drug addiction in the state. The multipurpose van will be used as a mobile dispensary as well as an ambulance.
