SCD Govt College wins grand finale of inter-college quiz

Ludhiana, March 14 SCD Government College, Ludhiana, won the inter-college quiz contest in the much-awaited grand finale of the contest organized by Synetic Business School held at SBS Campus on Friday.

In this quiz contest, seven teams from Arya College for Boys, SCD Government College, Kamla Lohtia College, DD Jain College, GTB College, Dakha, Government Science College of Science and Research, Jagraon, Lajpat Rai DAV College, Jagraon took part.

Questions on Indian culture, international events and management were asked during the first three rounds. In the fourth buzzer round, rapid fire questions were asked. SCD Government College for Boys, Ludhiana, comprising Akshay Jain, Sunny Nayyar, Ujjwal Jain won the contest with a cash prize of Rs 6,000 and a championship trophy.

Teams from Government College for Science and Research, Jagraon and GTB College, Dakha comprising Payal Garg, Simranjeet Kaur, Amanpreet Kaur and Gulshan Rai, Vicky Garg and Gautam Vij were the first and second runner up respectively, who were given cash prizes of Rs 4,500 and Rs 3,000 by the chief guest.

The function lasted for around three hours and was attended by a large number of faculty and students from various colleges in and around Ludhiana.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Dr MA Zahir stated that the purpose of the quiz contest is to create awareness about business environment, current events and Indian economy among the graduating students. He added that the SBS governing trustees has resolved that to make the inter-college quiz an annual happening on the activity chart of SBS.
