"Nagori has been brought to city and will be produced before the court tomorrow," Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, Ashish Bhatia said.
"We had obtained custody of Nagori from the Madhya Pradesh police and brought him by road to Gujarat," he added.
Nagori, who was arrested from Indore in March 2008, is believed to be the key conspirator behind the terror attacks in the city on July 26. Police had sought his custody from Madhya Pradesh police to uncover the links and names of the people behind the serial blasts that has claimed 55 lives.
Four other SIMI activists from Madhya Pradesh-Kamruddin Nagori, Aamil Pervez, Asif Hussain and Abdul Sibli were produced before a metropolitan magistrate earlier in the day.
Metropolitan Magistrate J K Pandya sent them to police custody till September 3.
The five suspects brought from different jails in Madhya Pradesh are believed to have been present in the training camp in Kerala (December 2007) and Halol (January 2008), where they had trained other SIMI workers.
