SIMI leader Nagori, four others sent to judicial custody

Ahmedabad, September 8: SIMI leader Safdar Nagori and four others, brought from Madhya Pradesh for questioning in connection with the Ahmedabad serial blasts, were sent on Monday to judicial custody by a metropolitan court in Ahmedabad.

Nagori along with his four accomplices, Abdul Sibley, Hafeez Hussain, Kamruddin Nagori and Amil Pervez, accused in the serial bomb blast case were brought before Metropolitan Magistrate G M Patel after their remand period ended on Monday.

The city Crime Branch, investigating the serial blasts cases, is likely to seek the court for further remand for the five accused on Tuesday.

According to crime branch officials, Nagori and four others had planned the serial blasts during SIMI training camps that were held in Kerala and in Halol area of Gujarat.
