Etawah enior Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav threatened to take BSP MLAs 'hostage', if the Uttar Pradesh government does not withdraw additional security provided to its ministers, who are 'misusing' the extended protection.

The BSP MLAs and ministers are misusing the extended escort security given to them during the recent local bodies elections, Yadav alleged, while talking to reporters.

"In case this security is not withdrawn and its misuse stopped immediately, SP would ask its workers to take people misusing security as hostage and release them only after intervention of respective district magistrates and SSPs" Yadav, brother of SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, threatened.

He also lashed out at the Centre, claiming it was actually being headed by the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh cannot take any decision without her nod.
