Mumbai/London Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's bungalow in Mumbai was attacked with kerosene-filled bottles by unknown persons in the wee hours on Friday, an incident which the actor, currently in London, said has made him quite worried about the safety of his family.

"Around 0230 hours, motorcycle-borne miscreants threw the bottles filled with kerosene and fled the scene. The security men at the residence 'Mannat' (in suburban Bandra) chased the miscreants but in vain," Mumbai's Deputy Commissioner of Police Niket Kaushik said.

Nobody sustained any injuries, he said, adding there have been no arrests so far.

Reacting to the incident, Shah Rukh said: "They came and hurled a couple of bottles which apparently had petrol in them I think. They caught a little fire but wasn't so dangerous. Of course, it makes you feel worried about the safety of your family and children at home."

The police are yet to ascertain the motive of the attack. It is also not clear whether it has anything to do with Shah Rukh's film ‘Billu’ which had a global release on Friday.

The film, which was earlier titled ‘Billu Barber’ ran into controversy after some barber associations objected to the word ‘barber’. The name of the film was changed to avoid further problems.

There are many good news that has to be put on the paper..Instead concentrating on petty things like "sharukkhan house under attack"..Green revolution is needed..aware of population growth is needed..avoid corruption..try to bring the topics which are needed for the country.. instead concentrating on junk things like Ram Sena, Sharuk khan and etc.

Sharuk by Manav on 13 Feb 2009

Sharuk in his movie My Hu Na has disgraced Indian military and UPA government by making friendship with Pakis. He is time again acting against the interest of India.

Social animals everywhere by Shaun Xavier on 13 Feb 2009

This is definitely the after effects of the problems created by the title of his new movie, "Billu Barber". He has changed the title of the movie to "Billo". This kind of sick people are getting a real menace to this society. Police authorities have to give a strong security to VIPs and ordinary men also. This incident shows the cheap rate of activities done by protesters in shadow. SRK is the man who doesn't interfere in any politics, hatred etc a perfect gentlemen inside and outside film industry.

Social animals everywhere by nagendra on 13 Feb 2009

Ok, this is a bad act of some bad people. But media should not propagate this type of acter because they do acting of good character but actually they have very poor character. So, this is miss-guide for common people.

RamSena by Pramod Mutalik on 13 Feb 2009

What will Mutalik and his sean do with so many pink chuaddis. It is against Indian culture to wear chuaddis. According to Dharma Shastras written by the forefathers of Mutalik it should be allowed to dangle free and raise when called to attention.

RamSena by nagendra on 13 Feb 2009

"Ram Sena" work is very very appreciated. The Boys/girls propagating the Pub culture must be son/daughter of corrupt govt. office or politicians because they have bad money for this and showing bad examples to our common boys/girls.

RamSena by xxx on 13 Feb 2009

Nagendra, looks like you too should start a collection of pink chuaddis... I bet you'll a lot of them on your face.
