New Delhi, October 15: With just 15 runs separating Sachin Tendulkar from becoming the highest individual Test scorer, his childhood friend and once teammate Vinod Kambli said standing on the threshold of milestones has never put the master blaster under pressure as he never played for records.

"Sachin lives for cricket and he never thinks about records. He just enjoys playing cricket and never feel pressure for records," said Kambli.

Kambli, who has played in 17 Tests and 104 ODIs, feels Tendulkar can easily serve the country till the 2011 World Cup to be held in the subcontinent.

"Sachin can surely continue till the 2011 World Cup. He has achieved everything in his long cricket career and I want him to announce his retirement after winning the World Cup," he said.

SAchin Tendulkar by Prasanna on 29 Nov 2008

yes really sachin is the Great player,Its not because of his record but his stratagi to play, his confidence during facing any bolwer in the world, his batting style. He always played for India and creat records.we love him He is the Father of Cricket."SALAM INDIA""SALAM SACHIN"

Long term failure by DA on 17 Oct 2008

Sachin is living for records which no indian bothers now. When he cannot go after an easy challenge in the last test - what is the use of his records. At least Gavaskar took indian very near to a 400 total and almost won in England. Tendulkar just want to be near his record mark so that he can complete that task in the next innings. Shamefull.

sachin's records by krishnan v on 15 Oct 2008

there is level for foolishness.. In kambli's case, he forgets the reality. Sachin is finding difficulty in facing the ball even. And his elbow problem comes before his mind, even before facing the ball. under such circumstances, how do you expect him to play as before? If at all, he wants to go in a dignified manner, let him announce his retirement after this tour - atleast... atleast
