A day after he was unceremoniously removed by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Durrani said he always had the best interests of Pakistan in his mind.
An angry Gilani sacked Durrani for his "irresponsible behaviour" and for failing to take the government into confidence on national security issues. Official sources said the move came after Durrani told the media that a preliminary probe had established that Kasab is a Pakistani national.
Durrani told ‘Geo News’ channel on Thursday that he had not told any foreign TV news channel that all 10 terrorists involved in the Mumbai attacks were Pakistanis.
He said the charges levelled against him were "incorrect".
Durrani also said that his conscience was "clear" as he had always tried to do everything possible in the interest of Pakistan.
The sacking is said to have caused differences between Gilani and Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, who had hand-picked Durrani for the job last year.

Sometime its more convenient to kill the messenger than to accept the hard realities of the message. This is just another divertion tactic by PAK. Honorable Mr. Durani is in real minority indeed. Principal of the foundation of Pakistan (Land of Pure) notwithstanding, Truth and freedom to speak it in PAK matters only if its suits its purpose, which is quite rare indeed. My compliments to you Mr. Durnani for having sufficient courage to be out front and be loyal to the truth and nothing but the truth.

now durrani will not be able to go to jennat.pakis are hard working for religious cause like any islamic country. it is like wistle blowers like durrani who has to bear the burnt. i wonder every body is working hard in the interest of the pakistan, then how come it is sinking daily, that means good people are not working good for pakistan
Gen. Duranni acted right. Only when you learn to accept the deficits can you improve on it.The Pak govt can build up on this and say that the terrorists were of Pak origin and that they would be treated like murderers. This will improve the relations between the neighbours.

Even if Kashmir and the alleged water related issues are resolved, Pakistan has to maintain anatagonism with India. This is the basis of their existence! And war with India? Well your generals have to obtain their clearance from US first.
lets view it from a different angle. He has been dismissed by zardari-gilani combo after pak army has allowed it to be done. WHY - because they needed to save face of the combo after denying for such a long time. Secondly easier to remove a perceived india lover. BENEFIT- Now pakistan can go on investigating and crosschecking the dossier over the next six months till indian elections. Then the next attack will restart. Sorry for being pessimistic but after so many years I view every pakistani response as a measure to delay and divert.

EVEN AFTER HAVING MORE THAN ENOUGH PROOF WHY US DO NOT TAKE ACTION IS A PROOF THAT THEY ARE ALSO HAND IN GLOVE WITH PAK.

Pakistan Govt is playing delay tactics. Why India should wait to know what their different officials are doing... Every day what action Pak Govt has taken to find out the whereabouts of Terrorists involved in Mumbai attacks, what they are doing to prevent Terrorism in their land and exported freely to other countries... It was not necessary to invade Iraq, whereas the entire Terrorist infrastructure is well planned and encouraged by and in Pakistan...
Mr. Durrani, does not matter how long you have served as NSA. You can survive in Pakistan if you have no conscience. Speak daily lies(every time you open mouth, Oppose every neighbourer, Beg from friendly countries to export terror(in the name of self-security)and condemn International Resolutions etc..etc are basic qualifications. If you don't have you will be sacked....many more will follow you..YOU ARE THE FIRST.
