Ranked a lowly 107th after her long injury layoff, Sania would take on world number 61 Domachowska hoping to get past the player who beat her in their only previous meeting in a hard-court tournament back in 2003.
Provided she emerges winner this time, Sania is likely to face Petrova who kicks off her campaign against unseeded Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakhstan.
Against Petrova, Sania has a 1-1 record, having beaten the Russian in San Diego in 2005 even though Petrova settled scores in 2007 Wimbledon.
Sania's best show so far in the Australian Open has been reaching the third round in 2005 and 2008.

Does it matter? I like Sania but she is just coming out of a long absence on account of injury and would be surprised if she even clears the first opponent. Besides she does not have a great coach and trainer. How can she perfom well on her own? That's what happens to other Indian tennis players as well. They all try to sweat it out without the help of a good coach and trainer.
Sania u have been out of the action with some injuries. Now that you are back. TENNIS in INDIA is alive again. GOOD LUCK SANIA. Hopefully you will get back to the top 30.Work hard to keep our country on top. again
