Riyadh, September 29: A Saudi man divorced his wife for watching alone a television programme presented by a male, an act he deemed immoral.

The man ended his marriage on the grounds his wife was effectively alone with an unrelated man, which is forbidden under the strict Islamic law enforced in the ultra-conservative kingdom, the Al Shams newspaper reported on Saturday.

Men in Saudi Arabia have the authority to divorce their wives without resort to the courts.

Male Chauvinistic Pig by Shahnaz Bhutto on 30 Sep 2007

abc you are another male chauvinistic pig and a hypocrate. The billions of mortals in the world are not blind, deaf, dumb or mad like him to believe that Islam is a peaceful religion. There are thousands of people all over the world who have been converted to Islam not by persuasion but by the sword. I am a Muslim but I know that my forefathers were all Hindus who were forcibly converted to Islam and many of my foremothers, sisters and daughters were raped by Muslim zealots. The converted Muslims know this and are honest to tell the truth and not come under Allah, Ishwar, God's 'gunah' by lieing about it.If Islam was a peaceful religion, why are Ahmadiyas and many other sects still persecuted by other Muslims? Are Ahmadiyas not Muslims? And why did persecuted Parsis have to flee Iran if Islam was a peaceful religion? If Islam was a peaceful religion why are Muslims persecuting and killing Muslims all over the world for centuries now?

What is the authenticity of your report?Stop making such unauthentic reports and give a platform for people with fascist ideologies to vent their venom against a peaceful religion.
