Panaji, March 15: Continuing her attack on the Goa police and politicians, Fiona Mackeown, mother of slain British girl Scarlett Eden Keeling, alleged that Home Minister Ravi Naik and state Director General of Police of being in nexus with drug mafia.

"I had been informed that there is a strong nexus between drug mafia, Ravi Naik (current Home Minister) and Director General of Goa Police B S Brar," Fiona said before she went to the juvenile police station to record her statement I connection with the death of her daughter.

Fiona's eldest daughter, Scarlett (15) was raped and murdered on Goa's popular Anjuna beach on February 18. The police investigations had zeroed in on two accused Samson D'Souza (a barman) and Placido Carvalho (drug trader) who have confessed to the crime.

While Samson is charged for drugging, raping and killing the girl, Placido has been accused of drugging and conspiring with Samson in the murder.

Fiona, who appeared in the police station accompanied by her lawyer Vikram Varma, said the Home Minister and DGP have full knowledge of crime-related activities and have done their best to protect criminals.

"That has been the case with my daughter also," she added.

Fiona circulated the copy of statement issued by Tourism Minister Fransisco Pacheco, which expressed concern about increasing drug trade along the coastal belt.

"The world is witness to their attempts to cover up Scarlett's murder," she said.

Demanding a probe by central agencies in the entire matter, Fiona said any inquiry by these two people (HM and DGP), would be watered down to levels useless for a crime free society.

"Goa is a beautiful place and I love Goans. These two persons have brought shame to not only Goa but the entire country," she said adding, ‘to my mind good people don't deserve an environment controlled by a drug mafia under protection of few corrupt police officers and politicians’.

Fiona has said this case is not just about the murder of my daughter but also about the many such unfortunate victims whose identities would be revealed after proper investigation.

Good intelligent persons does not join IAS IFS IPS Army or even politics by n.krishna on 16 Mar 2008

Some 126 foreign nationals have died in Goa in the last two years and majority of them could be murders. Some 12 deaths were passed off as drowning that is similar to Scarlet drowning and need investigation. This clearly shows that there is a nexus between criminals, politicians, and police. Good intelligent persons does not join IAS IFS IPS Army or even politics as there is no money in Class I service of GOI or in the politics. Army has become a post where death is assured while fighting muslim terrorists inside India. IFS is infested with criminals like Ronen Sen and promotions are given to people like Menon recommended by foreign governments.. IAS fellows are touching the feet of corrupt Lalus of India politics. Politicians are known to be on the payroll of KGB, ISI, CIA, OPUS DEI etc. Only criminally oriented below average intelligence are joining these services or politics. It is time to do away with the pimping policemen and domestic servant like IAS cadres and revamp the system with better regulations and better payscales.

Corrupt NGO and Mafia Police by KTVReddy on 15 Mar 2008

This is well known dictum in criminal pyschology! Label Victim as criminals and real criminals will be freed.Indian police itself are criminals and even if Finoa was guilty of child neglect(Big if),It doesn't justify police actions(1),cover up and now arresting fake criminals to save king pin.Nexus between Politicians, criminals and Police well exposed in Book- Sahara to Satara where air India employee(Lalit Kshirsagar) masterminds abductions of two NRI childern from airports itself! Airindia has honoured him with promotions we were told!Childern were taken to a dark corner in interior maharsthra(satara)-worst than bihar.Local Police, child line pune and Even pune Crime refused to entertain complians, double crossed our where about to the criminals, accused us of petty crime and offered us encounter kiling! Child LIne Pune is worst than Maharsthra police and in fact warned criminals about impending raid and criminals fled to safer place. One of them is killed and was buried without autopsy based on fake death certificate by a quack doctor(Munniben MBBS).We share pain and agony of Finoa and we pray almighty she gets support from British Media and British Foreign Office. we hope cry of Miss Mcowen will be heard inspite of Budget Chaos! You may find missing mandeline serving at one of the pub in Goa! It was intresting why did they ignored this lead although possibly was raised long back right at this forum!
