Los Angeles With the unravelling of Heidi Klum and Seal's seemingly perfect marriage, Hollywood has added another separation to its long list of divorces in recent time.

A number of high profile marriages and relationships failed to survive the limelight in Hollywood in the last few months, with many stars taking the exit route just days and months after tying the knot.

Klum, who married musician Seal in 2005, and kept renewing their vows every year including one in India, stayed with Seal for over seven years but the couple decided to part ways amicably after 'growing apart'.

"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart," Klum, 38, said.

The supermodel gave little indication that her marriage was on rocks as she happily posed at the recent Golden Globe awards. She is expected to file divorce papers at the Los Angeles' County Superior Court this week.

Demi Moore had braved convention and criticism to walk down the aisle for the third time with Ashton Kutcher, 16-years her junior, but their marriage too came to an end following reports that the actor cheated on the 'Ghost' star with a 22-year-old girl.

Initially, they seemed to be working on their marriage but Moore finally decided to end it in November, last year.

"It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life," Moore said, indicating at Kutcher's infidelity.

Moore later went on to say that she felt "unworthy of being loved" after the breakdown of her marriage.

Johnny Depp and Vanessa paradis are another high profile couple weathering the speculation of an end. The couple have indicated that all is not well in their 14-year-old relationship by making solo appearances. If the gossip mills are to be believed the couple, who raise two children, are living apart.

They married in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Rajasthan, India on October 23, 2010 but pop star Katy Perry and Russell Brand's dream wedding didn't last long as Brand, a reformed lothario, filed for divorce after just 14 months.

"Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends," Brand, 36, had said.

The wedding which attracted maximum back lash and ridicule was of reality TV star Kim Kardashian and basketball player Kris Humphries. Their union, which was played out big on cameras, lasted only 72-days after the arch-lights faded.

The 31-year-old Kardashian is said to have earned millions by selling her marriage to TV and magazines and ever since the former couple have been fighting allegations that it was a publicity stunt, staged to generate money.

Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez, who married Mark Anthony in a quiet home wedding on June 5, 2004, filed for divorce from Anthony on July 15, 2011, following seven years of marriage.

But the divorce didn't seem to disturb the former couple, who have two kids together, as they soon moved on with younger partners. Lopez is dating her 24-year-old back-up dancer, Casper Smart while Anthony is in a relationship with Venezuelan model Shannon De Lima.
