Seminar on Pakistani Punjabi literature

Ludhiana, February 20 An international seminar on ‘Pakistani Punjabi Literature’ sponsored by UGC was held at Govind National College, Narangwal, to inculcate the moral and aesthetic value of literature among students.

The seminar was inaugurated by Jagpal Singh Khangura, President of the College Management Committee. Dr Jagbir Singh delivered the keynote address.

Litteratteurs from Pakistan Janab Akram Sheikh, Janab Nadeem Parmaar, Ezad-ul-naaz and Anjam Salemi read their papers on ‘Pakistani Punjabi Literature’ and discussed its significance. Dr Gurpal Singh Sandhu also read a paper, which was much appreciated by the audience.

Dr Ravinder Ravi, Dr Harmit Kaur, Dr Tarlok Bandhu and Dr Charanjit Kaur commended Punjabis for their bravery, and said it is apparent from their traditions and customs.

Dr Hardiljit Singh Gosal, Convener of the seminar and Principal of the college, thanked the participants. Those who graced the occasion included Dr Lok Nath, Dr Harjodh, Dr Darshan Gill, Jarnail Sekha, Prof Sukhdev Singh, Dr Sarabjit Singh, Prof Gurmail Singh, Prof Satpal Sehgal and Dr Khushwant Singh.
