Mumbai, July 24: Shiv Sena MP Tukaram Renge-Patil said he skipped the trust vote in Lok Sabha as he was fed up with being sidelined in the party in the last three to four years.

"I had conveyed the state of affairs to Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray on several occasions, but to no avail," Reneg-Patil said.

Asked if he feared reprisal attacks by Shiv sainiks, he said "they (Sena) should first check why did 14 MPs leave them in the last several years."

Renge-Patil also targeted the sampark (publicity) pramukh of Sena for his Parbhani district, Arvind Nerurkar, saying he was not invited for any party programme.

The MP from Parbhani in Central Maharashtra said he had taken the decision to remain absent during the vote of confidence in Parliament on July 22 on his own and not at the behest of leader of any other party.

"I did not inform even my wife and son (about the decision," he said.
