Mumbai, February 8: Without naming Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), the Shiv Sena made a scathing attack, calling them ‘bird flu affected poultry, that has no market value’.

Referring to the recent trouble in Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra by MNS, the editorial in Samana, the Sena mouthpiece said, "in an attempt to project as crusaders of Mumbai, these boys behaved in a manner that is nothing but a desperate attempt to get free publicity".

The ‘newly born party’ with multicoloured flag can resort to any 'antics' to get a political foothold, Sena said, adding that the best way to react to such cheap gimmicks is to ignore them.

It also took a swipe at the media, particularly the electronic media, saying that antics of such political party gives enough fodder for them as the media have nothing worthwhile to show.

Stating that only Sena is the sole representative and the true voice of Maharashtrians, it said, others are only interested in vote bank politics.

To tackle the Islamic aggression, one should not get divided on regional or linguistic lines, the editorial said.

It also said that whenever the country is in danger, one should not look through the prism of linguistic and regional barriers.

What is needed at this juncture is to evict those Bangladeshi infiltrators who foment trouble in the state.
