In a letter sent this evening, the Home Ministry asked states to compile a list of incidents of communal violence in recent times and the names of people who had been found to be involved, sources said.
This come when investigation into the Malegaon blasts is pointing to the alleged involvement of some Hindu organisations.
Though the letter asked for a report on all incidents of communal violence — not just those in which the Bajrang Dal was said to be involved — sources said Bajrang Dal was the only organisation mentioned in the letter by name.
The letter said there had been persistent reports of involvement of “Bajrang Dal and other organisations” in recent communal incidents.
There has been a growing clamour from UPA allies to ban Bajrang Dal, especially after the recent round of violence against Christians in Orissa and Karnataka.

Bajrang Dal and other Hindu Nationalist group is a terrorist group that tortures other community. They are like Nazi's Adolf Hitler and they should be overthrown like Saddam Hussein and Adlof Hitler was. They have tortured Christians, Muslims and other community as well. They should not be this type of group in the democracy country. They are dictator group. They maybe carrying out the terrorist activities in India i.e. bomb explosions in Ahmedabad, Mumbai and other areas and they blame other community. So in reality, who is the terrorist? They may have carried out the attack in Pakistan and other countries. Who knows?

Terrorist blasts have taken place in India for many years. These are mainly by muslim extremists. Govt. failed to punish them. Majoriy community now feels that they have to counteract extremism. Hence Bajrangdal RSS etc. get support from majority community.To put down extremism govt. should act firmly irrespective of any religion extremists belong.They should enact necessary rules for speedy action as the exisisting rules are not sufficient.
Remember the SIMI in the days when it was just the student's wing of the Jamaat-e-Islami and had nothing to do with extremism? At that time their inspiration was Ayatollah Khomeini, who had just thrown out the CIA-backed Pahlavi emperor. One thing I noticed was the high esteem the SIMI leaders had for the RSS (this was before the days of the Bajrang Dal). They told me that Hindus should stick to the RSS and Muslims should stay with the SIMI. They knew what was good for us, and any intermingling or discussions would spoil the purity. It was like shepherds separating their herds. They would shear and slaughter their own sheep. The RSS would take care of us Hindus. In a way, we have to thank Advani for his short-sightedness in demolishing the Babri Masjid. This exposed the dangers of cultural nationalism. If they had kept issues festering for a few more years, with this sort of brainwashing, we would all have been safely in the control of either the RSS/SIMI. Now, we know the risks.
Involvement of Bajrang Dal is is isolated case and it was not an organised crime as in the case of Muslim Outfits.Hindu Leader never accepted violance and they never issue fatwas.If for Gujarat incident VHP RSS and BJP be banned then what would be fate of Congress with respect to riot against Sikhs in 1984? Present day Congress is not the party that toiled for the liberation of our Natation. It was Indira Congress, then become Rajiv Congress and now Sonia Congress and always packed with sycophants.

Ashok you are right. ATS probe with tests taken in Bangalore labs proved the involvement of Hindutva organisations in blast. But why, still people praise these outfits. Because they are not due to their hindu faith, all these fellows are from "Big B's" upper community, from long ago these dogs start building their stomach by eating the work / food / education of other community. Now other community people gets raising in life due to various reservation, how these beggars can tolerate (VHP/RSS/BJP - representative of the old dogs) so started biting the peoples /religions who don't give important to these dogs. so don't worry about their barking here. We can see the history, how these people sit at Top of communal hierarchy and called them selfs as god's representative. They are not hindus, narrow minded or short hearted never be a hindu. Has Govt. also asked such dossier for IM , SIMI etc. who have been in picture for years ? Govt. has to remember that it should not take majority for granted when impressing minorities.

The social outlook and opinions of every individual is influenced by his family background, the environment in which he has been brought up and his/her education. Naturally, nobody can claim to be totally unbiased. So, instead of calling names, it would be more honourable if you tried to convince the other person to accept your way of thinking. If you fail to convince the other person, it would be good to have an introspection about your own viewpoints.

All should refrain from calling Hindu/Muslim/Christian terrorists. All religions preach and practice same faith. Those who don't believe in that faith are turning to be terrorists. Hence we should not label them as Hindu/Muslim/Christian terrorists. By labelling, we are creating more communal problem and disharmony. Just refer to them as terrorists. With regards to a political party, all are glows of the same hand. Forget those old phrases, Government of the people, by the people and for the people. And why do you find stopping the conversion objectionable? When you find conversion objectionable don't you think some sections of hindu(or anyone) community should find conversion to christianity objectionable?

Excellent decision, I am appreciating the Home ministry, it is imp to put end to the outfits who is destroying the precious lives of the Indians and leaving everlasting agony in the hearts of the innocent people by killing and raping their loved ones in front of them and destroying their homes and property for the sake of their faith.

Why ban only Bajrang Dal? Ban the Hinduism itself in Hindustan. Congress, please you have some 3-4 months in hand to stay in power, plese delcare India an Islamic state before you go. UPA, including the Italian wonderwoman and the spineless PM, would do anything to get votes and stay in power. A saffron party, regardless of which party it is, will never be anti-Indian. I think the Indian people really need to investigate acitivities of missionaries, instead of Bajrang Dal, and Sonia's direct and indirect involvement in their activities. Why doesn't the Indian govt. ban missionaries who spread poison and are involved in anti-Indian activities?
