Seven cricketers to get flats worth Rs 40 lac

Kochi, October 1: A construction company will gift flats at nearby Kakkanad to seven cricketers honouring them for their contribution to the game.

Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan and S Sreesanth will be given a flat each worth Rs 40 lakh by SRK Group of Companies, Builders and Land Developers.

The group had also decided to sponsor the Kerala Ranji Trophy team for one year from the coming season, K Rasheed Malik, Chairman, SRK Group, said.

The sponsorship amount is Rs 10 lakh.

Kerala Cricket Association Secretary T C Mathew said the sponsorship would help it to groom players of international calibre.
