"Shilpa called the Royal Marsden to tell Jade she was sorry she can't be at the ceremony as she is filming in India.
It was a really warm friendly chat. Shilpa wanted Jade to know she was thinking of her and it really lifted her spirits," a source close to Goody told 'Daily Mail'.
Goody, who is suffering from cervical cancer, was severely criticised for her alleged racist remarks against Shilpa when both were participants at UK's reality show 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
Goody had reportedly told Shilpa on the show, "Go back to your slums."
However, the 27-year-old Goody later apologised and the pair have since made up.
Ironically, Goody, who is now terminally ill was diagnosed with cervical cancer when she was participating in the Indian version of the 'Celebrity Big Brother' which was being hosted by Shilpa.
Meanwhile, 27-year-old Goody called her best friend Kate Jackson and four other close friends in a bedside meeting and asked them to be her bridesmaids for her wedding this weekend.
The ailing TV star will reportedly earn over USD 2 million this weekend, when she weds her fiance.
Goody struck a deal with ‘OK!’ magazine for exclusive magazine coverage of the ceremony.
"It is her dream dress and she was laughing for the first time in two weeks. She was giggling like a 10-year-old as she was trying it on and looking in the mirror. It was wonderful to see her like that," Goody's publicist Max Clifford said.
Goody's wedding gown is a cream and ivory exclusive Uranio dress from the Pronovias 2009 collection by Manuel Mota which is made from silk mikado and has a classic design with a high neckline, a V-back and full skirt box pleating.
"Five of Jade's closest mates were called in a couple of days ago and Jade said, 'I'm getting married and I want you to be bridesmaids', Then she started flinging out random orders about what we had to do for the preparations – although now everything keeps changing," Kate Jackson, Goody's best friend told 'The Mirror'.
"There are so many things to organise and so much of what Jade wants isn't practical when there is only a week - but if anyone can pull off this wedding, Jade can," she added.
Goody, has also complained of losing her balance. But the mother of two is still determined to walk down the aisle.
"I'm so looking forward to being a bride. And I want to walk toward my groom, just like any other young woman would on what is meant to be the best day of their lives...I am going to be the bride... I can't wait to get married...I felt like a princess when I put on the dress. It's fabulous," she told her friends.
Living TV would also be shooting the wedding as part of an ongoing deal with Goody to showcase her battle with cancer.
